"People interact with various buildings every day. These buildings form the core elements of our homes and workplaces, yet we seldom appreciate or take notice of them. This time in my collaboration with realme, I present these seemingly ordinary architectural elements in a way that reveals the beauty of everyday life."

Concrete

When the ancient Romans mixed lime with volcanic ash, concrete was born and became the cornerstone of modern civilization. Till today, most architecture has concrete as its soul. Naoto Fukasawa and realme re-create a novel industrial style with micro-particle texturing on the back of a smartphone that’s inspired by concrete and its rugged elegance.

Red Brick

The ancient Babylonians invented brick, which have played a ubiquitous role in architecture ever since. The versatility of brick in forming various artistic forms is of great value. Naoto Fukasawa and realme refined the material and texture of brick for a unique historical feel at the back of smartphones. By doing so, a crucial element of architecture is transformed into art and blended with modern technology that captures both history and fashion.

Soft Frosted
Glass Design

realme created its custom RP paint and combined it with industry-leading lacquered glass coating technology to realize Naoto Fukasawa's exceptionally high standards for design. After 32 stages of sanding and testing, the final result is a wonderful frosted glass, which is polished and soft to touch.

The Master Edition uses the computer chip laser technology ‘PicoSure’ to engrave a fretwork logo on frosted glass and a replica of Naoto Fukasawa’s signature with 100% fidelity—where the finest stroke is just 0.09 mm wide. Thus, the most intricate details can be seen as they were meant to be.
