2. Scenarios & Solutions

(1) Standby heating while charging

Causes: 

1. It's normal for the phone to heat up during charging. There is an energy conversion process for charging the phone, during which a certain amount of heat will be generated.

2. The phone is in an environment where it is not easy to dissipate heat when charging.

3. Not using the original charger and data cable for charging.

4. High power consumption apps are running in the background during charging.

Solutions:

1. There is an energy conversion process in phone charging, during which a certain amount of heat will be generated. Flash charging and ultra fast flash charging models have large charging power. While shortening the charging time, the calorific value will be higher, so it is normal for the phone to heat up during charging.

2. It is recommended to charge when the ambient temperature is appropriate. The ambient temperature is too high when charging, wearing a case or placing the phone on the sofa when charging will not be conducive to heat dissipation of the phone.

3. Please use the original charger and data cable to charge. If you use other third-party chargers and data cables, the phone may be heated due to different charging power or charging protocol.

4. When there are high power apps or multiple apps running in the background, or the phone at the same time opens wifi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and other functions, in the background to search for a signal or network, leading to increased heating of the phone, it is recommended to clean up the background and close the functions that are not used.

If the charger or phone is seriously hot, please stop charging. Back up your personal data, and take your phone, charger, data cable and relevant purchase certificate to the nearby realme Service Center for detection. 

(2) Standby heat when not charging

Causes:

1. The ambient temperature is too high during standby (Surrounding)

2. High power consumption or multiple apps running in the background during standby.

3. Abnormalities occur during the operation of the phone.

Solutions:

1. In an environment with high ambient temperature, the surface temperature of the phone will also rise under the influence of the ambient temperature, resulting in the heating of the phone. It is recommended that you use the phone at the appropriate ambient temperature and try to avoid placing the phone in a place with high temperature or under direct sunlight.

2. It is recommended to clean up the background and close the functions that are not in use. When there are high power apps or multiple apps running in the background, or the phone at the same time opens wifi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and other functions, in the background to search for a signal or network, it will lead to increased heating of the phone.

3. Abnormalities in the operation of the phone may cause the phone to heat up. It is recommended that you restart the phone and wait a few minutes to see if there is any abnormal heating.

4. Please go to Settings to upgrade the system. The new version can obtain better user experience and system performance.
