Stopping the keyboard from waking up the computer works in much the same way as the mouse path. Here is an example of a mouse.
Steps:
1. Click Start, type "mouse" and then click the selection to open the Mouse control panel app.
2. In the "Mouse Properties" window, switch to the "Hardware" tab.
3. Select the mouse you want to control from the list and then click the "Properties" button. You’ll see more than one mouse listed, so make sure you select the one you want to disable waking up for.
4. In the mouse’s properties window, click the "Change settings" button.
5. Switch to the Power Management tab and turn off the "Allow this device to wake the computer" option.
Note: If both the mouse and keyboard are set to stop the device from waking up the computer, the computer can only be woken up by the power button. For the convenience of the user, it is recommended that the user keep either the mouse or the keyboard to wake up the computer.
