In general, a GPS receiving device uses signal received from at least four satellites to compute latitude, longitude, altitude, and time. There are several causes why you could be experiencing an inaccurate GPS location, since devices can be affected by a variety of factors when processing information and displaying it accurately.
Causes:
1. Location service or the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning of location is not enabled.
2. The location permission of the navigation app is not enabled.
3. The signal base station access is abnormal.
4. There is a poor GPS signal or the signal is blocked in these areas such as tall buildings, dense buildings, basements, tunnels, elevated roads, or mountainous.
5. Metal or magnetic phone cases, or accessories such as metal brackets and suction cups will have a certain signal shielding or interference effect.
6. There is a problem with the navigation app itself.
Solutions:
1. It is recommended that you pull down the notification bar to turn on the location service and long-press it to turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning of location.
2. Please enable the location permission for the navigation app.
Path: Long-press the icon of the navigation app, click App Info > Permissions, and set the location permission to Allow all the time (if you choose to allow when using, it may cause inaccurate positioning).
3. Switch on/off Airplane mode to try again.
4. Move to an open area to try again.
5. Remove such metal/magnetic phone cases or accessories to try again.
6. It is recommended that you try other navigation apps.
If the above methods do not solve your problem, it is recommended that you back up your phone data and carry the purchase certificate, and visit the nearest realme customer service center for testing.
