Phone battery draining fast in standby- How to fix?

Update Time: 2023-08-28 10:07:20

Causes:

1. When you run multiple or high-power-consuming programs in the background, they use up a lot of processor resources. This can cause your phone to heat up and drain the battery faster.

2. When your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, it may sync photos and other data to Google in the background. This can reduce the battery life in standby mode.

3. For System Auto update overnight: This feature allows your phone to update the system between 2:00-5:00 at night. After the update, some programs will be optimized and some apps will need to be updated in the background. This can also affect the battery life in standby mode. You can choose to turn it off if you want.

For Apps Auto update: This feature allows your phone to update the apps to the latest version on Wi-Fi. Updating apps requires the processor to work at high speed, including copying, decompressing, scanning, and creating installation packages and databases. This can drain the battery quickly in standby mode.

4. If you enable social app notifications like WhatsApp, your phone will keep searching for network signals when the signal is poor. This can also drain the battery in standby mode.

5. The ideal working temperature of the smartphone is 0°-40°. The lithium battery is sensitive to “heat and cold”, so the battery may drain faster in standby mode outside this range.

6. After turning on Always-On Display function, the phone will show the time, date, and AOD style. The screen in this area is always on, which uses some battery power. This is normal.

7. When the battery gets older, it may lose power rapidly or last shorter.

Solutions:

1. It is recommended that you clean up the background programs and turn off unused system settings. Such as games, app notifications, personal hotspot, GPS, etc.

2. It is recommended that you turn off the auto backup function in Settings > Google > Backup > Select the corresponding item to turn off.

3. For System Auto update overnight: It is recommended that you can turn it off.

4. It is recommended that you can go to a place with better signal or connect a stable Wi-Fi.

5. Please put the phone in a suitable temperature (0℃~40℃) environment when it's in standby.

6. It is recommended that you turn on AOD power saving mode or off AOD.
