Check your headset jack and your phone's settings if the sound comes out from speaker when headphones are connected.
Applicable for all realme smartphones.
Plugging in the headphones is supposed to cut off the speaker. If sound still plays from your phone’s speaker when headphones are in, check each step in the following:
Check for loose connections
Remove any case or enclosure the phone may be in. Unplug and reconnect the headphones. Make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the headset jack and headphones
•Check for obstructions on or in the headset jack.
•Check your headphones and phone’s headset jack for damage, like wear or breakage.
•Make sure the headphones are fit for your phone. Some third-party headphones may not be supported.
Check phone settings
If the sound comes out from speaker instead of headphones when you are on a call, go to [Settings] > [Gesture & Motion] > [Smart Call] and turn off [Switch to Speaker for Calls].
* ColorOS 5.2: Go to [Settings] > [Gesture & Motion] > [Smart Call] and turn off [Switch the Speaker by motions].
Restart and update the phone
Restart the phone, and make sure you have updated your phone to the latest version.
* Pictures, settings and paths might differ from those of your phone, but that do not affect the description in this article.
