What if the realme Smart TV wireless network connection is not available?

Before doing anything, please follow these options to preliminary troubleshoot.

Wireless network frequency band

There are two commonly used WIFI frequency bands, one is 2.4G and the other is 5G

The different WIFI frequency bands of models supported may be different, some only support 2.4G and some support 2.4 and 5G dual frequency.

It is recommended to ensure that the wireless band matches what the TV supports.



Connecting to hidden WIFI

If the WIFI the TV needs to connect to is hidden, please refer to  How to connect WIFI on realme Smart TV? to add this hidden network.
If the TV connects to this hidden WIFI failed, please unhide this WIFI and connect the TV to it, then re-hide it.

What if TV can't search any Wireless network


TV WIFI switch is turned off.

Please refer to this path to turn on the WIFI switch.

Path: Select the WIFI icon on the home screen or Settings > Network &Internet.

 

No available WIFI near the TV

Please refer to this table to create a hotspot on your smartphone and check if the hotspot can be searched by the TV.

If the TV can search the hotspot and connect to it successfully, the WIFI function of the TV is normal, It is suggested to check if the issue is caused by other reasons, such as abnormal Wireless, Not in the valid range of WIFI, etc.

What if TV can't connect to the wireless network


Wrong password

1. Please re-type the password, be careful to use upper case and lower case correctly and distinguish between similar numbers and letters.

        Examples of mistakes:

        I (capital i), l (small L), and 1 (number one)

        0 (number zero) and O (capital o)

        d (small D) and b (small B)

        9 (number nine) and q (small Q)

2. Please change the wireless network password to a simple one.


Abnormal Wireless network

Check if another new device which never connects to this wireless network before can connect to this Wireless network.

If other devices also can't connect to the Wireless network. There may be some issues with the Wireless network,  such as limits on the number of device connections, router whitelist or blacklist, etc. For more troubleshooting, It is suggested to connect the router supplier for further help.

If other devices can connect to the wireless network properly, please refer to Check this issue is caused by the TV for further troubleshooting.



What if TV can connect to a Wireless network, but can't access the internet?


Additional network settings

There are additional setting requirements for some networks, such as fixed IP addresses, connecting to designated servers, etc.

It is suggested to check if there are additional settings to be set up and refer to the below guide to set up the TV.

Abnormal internet
Check if another new device which never connects to this wireless network before can connect to this Wireless network.

If another device can't access the internet, there may be some issues with the router or internet, such as poor contact between the router and internet jack, slow internet speed, no network connection, etc. For more troubleshooting, It is suggested to connect to the router supplier or Internet service provider for further help.

If other devices can connect to the wireless network properly, please refer to Check this issue is caused by the TV for further troubleshooting.



Check if the issue is caused by the TV.

1. Please repeat switch the WIFI switch.

2. Please unplug the TV power cord and reinsert it after 2 minutes.

3. Please refer to How to reset realme Smart TV? to restore the TV to factory settings.
